Sophia Stewart Episode 92 *Documents Inside*
Episode 92: Red Or Blue?
Michael welcomed Sophia Stewart to the program. Writer of the Terminator and Matrix movies Child prodigy, prolific writer, poet and creative genius are just a few of the terms used to describe Sophia. Writer of the Terminator and Matrix movies as she is known, wrote her Epic The Third Eye while she was studying
cinema at the University of Southern California.
This ingenuous work, copyrighted since 1981, is the foundation and contains the core elements of the blockbuster films. Stewart’s brilliance lies in her ability to create characters, stories and cinematic magic. In The Third Eye, she has transformed comprehensive metaphysical and spiritual concepts into the most revered science fiction films of all times.
Sophia goes in depth about her background, what influenced her to begin her writing. Michael asked if she remembered, the first time she saw the film trailer for The Matrix.
The Matrix was first released in the United States on March 31, 1999, and grossed over $460 million worldwide. Reviewers praised The Matrix for its innovative visual effects, cinematography
and entertainment value.
In the case of a lawsuit filed in 2003 claiming damages, Stewart alleged that the idea of the 1984 film The Terminator and the 1999 film The Matrix were stolen from her own screen treatment
entitled “The Third Eye,” which was copyrighted in 1983. The documents show that Stewart claimed she was defrauded of $200 million, plus royalties, a hefty sum if she could prove that the
Wachowskis and Cameron had ripped her off.
On her website, where she dubs herself “The Mother of the Matrix,” Stewart says she answered a magazine ad in 1986 that said the Wachowskis were soliciting science fiction stories to be made into a comic book, but after she sent it she never heard from the defendants. Michael asks if Sophia has ever had any contact with the Wachowski brothers, Michael mentions that one of the brothers is transgendered.
Michael asks her opinion on the latest shootings, and if these things have any effect on the silver screen. What her opinion is on todays current films, the lack of originality that comes from Hollywood. Things wrap up with a caller, and Sophia mentions alien technology.
